Video 1 – Introduction
This is the first of six videos on the Eucharist. This video gives an overview of what we’ll cover in this series, and gives the purpose; knowing more about what the Mass/Eucharist is will help us to participate more deeply, and receive its benefits more completely. Fr. Paul shares some of his journey and how it was through the study of scripture that he was led to a deeper understanding of the Eucharist.

Video 2 – Testimony of Saints & Miracles
Before we look at scripture and theology, I thought we’d start with the Miraculous! Mystics have testified to what the Eucharist is, and there have been many Eucharistic Miracles over the years. This video looks more deeply at how the Catholic Mass is different than a “Worship Service.” Testimony from St. Joseph of Cupertino, Padre Pio, and Sr. Faustina are included.

Video 3 – Old Testament Background of Eucharist
To better understand what Jesus did at the last supper we need to hear it as the disciples in His day would have heard it. Their background in the scriptures, the Law and Prophets, would have given them a much deeper understanding of what Jesus was saying and doing than we have today. This video looks at passages from Exodus and Leviticus to better understand the references Jesus was making at the Last Supper.

Video 4: The Eucharist in the New Testament and Church Fathers
This video looks at some of the places in the New Testament we learn more about the Eucharist. It shows that the Eucharist goes back even to the first day of Jesus’ Resurrection. We see that it continued to be a central part of the early church recounted in The Acts of the Apostles, to St. Paul’s Letters, Hebrews and more. It also looks at writings of some of the early Church outside of the New Testament, known as the writings of the Church Fathers.

This video is a summary of all the work done in the previous videos. It attempts to explain how the Eucharist saves us, why it is the “Source and Summit” of our Christian life, and how we can participate more deeply in the Mass, and hence benefit more from the Grace in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
