Family Faith Formation: Reconciliation and Eucharist Sacrament Preparation

Our program is designed specifically to assist the family in growing in faith by learning about the sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist, sharing the faith by exploring the Gospels at an age-appropriate level, and continuing faith development by serving our community and putting faith into action.

The Family Faith Formation: Sacrament Preparation program is open to children entering 1st to 7th grade* who have received the sacrament of baptism or are looking to baptism their child over the age of 5.  This is a two-year program that involves parents and children in sacrament preparation. Please view the program calendar for dates, times, and venue information

  • During the first year (grades 1st-7th), the family will focus on exploring the Gospel readings, supporting families to develop faith practices and prayers at home, and inviting families to attend mass each weekend.
  • During the second year (grades 2nd-8th), the family will focus on understanding the sacraments or Reconciliation and Eucharist, while continuing to develop all of the faith formation learned during the first year.
  • Additionally – families with children in Pre-K to Kinder can join in faith formation as pre-sacrament formation.  During the pre-sacrament formation years, families receive materials to help children learn prayers with picture books and songs.
