What is a Mass Intention?
When a Mass is celebrated, the priest can offer each celebration of the Eucharist for a particular person or intention. By doing so, special graces from God are applied upon that person or intention. This is an ancient tradition seen in St. Augustine’s Confessions where St. Monica asks Augustine, “One thing only I ask you, that you remember me at the altar of the Lord.”
