Did You Know?

Keep Kids Safe - ribbonTalking to your kids about cell phone safety. The more advanced cellular devices become, the more functions they have available. Sending pictures over the Internet is something that children do all the time. Photo-messaging on cell phones is no different. Children need to be aware why all pictures are not appropriate to send. They also need to know that if they receive a message or image that makes them uncomfortable, they should immediately tell you or another trusted adult.

For a helpful pamphlet on cell phone safety, please visit the National Crime Prevention Council website at www.ncpc.org, and click on “cell phone safety.” For more information about the “Safeguard the Children” program at OLG, contact the OLG’s Safeguard the Children Parish Committee Chairperson, Stephanie Criona-Duda by phone at the parish office or [email protected]
