God is Love: At the Heart of All Creation ~ Centering Prayer Retreat

This retreat is based on the latest work of Cistercian Abbot Thomas Keating, founder of Contemplative Outreach. We will view selected videos from his series God is Love: The Heart of All Creation. Themes to be explored include: Cosmology; Human Evolution; Christ, Evolution and All Creation; Into Unity Consciousness; and Surrendering to Love.  In addition to time for personal reflection, retreatants will practice centering prayer for 30 min. three times each day, and evenings will be devoted to the practice of visio divina on paintings by artist William Congdon correlating with the themes of the day. House of Yahweh Community Service Saturdays– Trash Bag Donations

September 18, 10 AM – 12 PM Help us collect 33- Gallon Black Trash Bags and 45- gallons Clear Trash Bags for our Food Outreach Program and Thrift Store. Clear trash bags are used to dispose of distressed food that cannot be used in our food boxes. Black trash bags are used in our Thrift Store to bag items we cannot use. We bag these items and donate them to Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores. FIND OUT MORE

House of Yahweh Winter Clothing & Holiday Meal Donation Day

November 13, 10 AM – 12 PM The South Bay Outreach Center (SBOC) is collecting winter clothing for our homeless neighbors who need extra help to stay warm, dry, and healthy. Here is a list of the things needed to help our homeless neighbors make it through the cold and rainy months: warm clothes, ponchos and rain pants, water resistant footwear, warm socks, gloves, tarps, sweat shirts with hoods, sweat pants, knit and rain hats, and scarves.  FIND OUT MORE
