Talk:  Something About Mary

The purpose of this talk is to share how, like Mary, you have answered yes to God.  What does it mean to surrender yourself to God?  Have you experienced a relationship that reminds you of Mary’s example? The students will begin to have a deeper understanding of who Mary is and feel more comfortable opening themselves up to God.

Introduce yourself and your props (no more than 3):

The Talk:
Use these questions as prompts for brainstorming and writing your talk. Refer to the purpose of the talk above as well.

How would you describe your relationship with Mary?

Who is she in your life?

Is there someone in your life that reminds you of Mary?

How has Mary’s ‘yes’ to God influenced your ‘yes’ to God?

Why is Mary so important to Catholics?
