OCIA Information and Inquiry

Not a Catholic? Or Baptized in another faith?

Thinking about becoming a Catholic?

Curious about the Catholic Faith?

Already a Catholic but looking for a refresher course?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you may be interested in exploring the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. We invite you to complete the OCIA Inquiry Form

OCIA – ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS  (Formally known as RCIA)

OCIA is for adults who want to receive their sacraments or for adults who want to renew their faith. We invite all adults to join the inquiry sessions starting this fall on Thursday evenings beginning September 19!

Adults approach the church for a variety of reasons and bring with them a personal history and richness of life experiences. The OLG OCIA Team responds with both information about the church and a formational process that introduces the individual to the message of Jesus, prayer, community, and service to others.  The process invites participants to embark on a journey.

Jesus said to them, “come and see”  John 1:39

DISCOVER THE CATHOLIC FAITH

The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA) is the Catholic Church’s way of bringing new members into the community of faith and helping existing members rediscover the Catholic Faith.

Next Session: September 19, 7:00 PM in the OLG MPR
