Encountering Christ In A Life-Changing Way

Our Lady of Guadalupe’s high school Youth Ministry offers four (4) years of relational ministry and faith-based experiences that are vital to the spiritual development of young people throughout their high school years.

The two-year process to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation is just one component of our Youth Ministry. Youth Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe goes beyond what one may learn in a religion class, and it strives to lead a young person to actually experience their faith and become true disciples of Christ.

As we re-open from the pandemic shutdowns, OLG’s Youth Ministry is being renovated and revitalized to provide a truly unique experience for our high school youth. Christ offers us the “best” and we want to offer the best to our young people as well. Please know that our Youth Ministry team here at OLG will always strive to bring our young people closer to Christ. If God is calling you to help our mission to love God, love others, grow, serve, and proclaim the Good News, let us know here.

Starting mid/late June, OLG Youth Ministry offers a How to Pray Workshop for Teens.

The essential habit for spiritual life is daily prayer that includes not only speaking to God, but listening and experiencing God’s love and presence.  For years now, Father Paul has led a workshop on how to pray for adults. Inspired by the book “I Heard God Laugh”, it occurred to him that this is a message and teaching our Youth can benefit from too!

The sooner one begins a prayer life, the greater the fruits it will produce.  This workshop will use the above-mentioned book as the main text, but also teach many ways to pray. We will experience prayer together in this workshop, and each participant will be asked to pray daily on their own. At each class participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences in prayer and how God is speaking to our hearts and lives. Classes will be twice a month.
