No Post Office Food Drive This Year, but We Can Still Replenish the OLG Hand ‘n’ Hand Pantry
Traditionally the annual Post Office Food Drive is held on the second Saturday of May. However, like last year, this year’s Post Office Food Drive is canceled due to the pandemic. That drive provided tons (literally tons) of food that we used to feed people through the summer months. We will not have that food this year; however, we still have 79 recipients of our Parish Food Drive (ages 4 to 80) who need food. We appreciate your generosity.
If you want to donate food, we especially need protein. That would include soups, stews, chili, beans and rice, peanut butter, tuna, canned meat, and canned pasta. You can also donate cereal, canned fruit, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, and sauce. Please leave the donations in the back of the church by the northwest door (underneath the stained glass window of Our Lady of Guadalupe).
If you want to donate money, please visit the church giving page and direct your donation to the Hand N Hand Food Drive; or send a check to the parish and write “Food Drive” on the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity.
If you are in need of food, we want to help you. Please contact Tom Baumann at the parish office.
