From Fr. Ray

The next several weekends are Solemnities in our Church calendar. They will give us much to reflect upon as we live our lives.

  • June 1: The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord we reflect upon Christ’s return to His Father in Heaven (Where he has gone, we Hope to follow.)
  • June 8: The Solemnity of Pentecost – the beginning (birthday) of the Church; the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles – their Advocate (Guide, Counselor) – reflection upon the Holy Spirit dwelling within us
  • June 15: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity – reflection upon the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) – the role of the Trinity within the Church and within our life
  • June 22: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) – reflection upon the Eucharist – our food for the journey of life
  • June 29: The Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles – Apostle to the Jews & the Apostle to the Gentiles – reflection upon the Church and its’ Mission to all the ends of the Earth.

As we gather for these Sunday Liturgies prepare yourself so that you might be ready to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Thank You for your continued generosity to our Maintenance Fund – the second collection on the First Sunday of the month. Thank You also for any special gift you might make to this Fund. Maintenance is a continued work on our property. You never get finished!
