One of our own catechists, Mary Causley, received the Excellence in Catechesis Award, presented by Bishop Solis this weekend at the San Pedro Regional Congress. She became an OLG confirmation catechist 15 years ago, and has served in that capacity continuously since then. She approaches her ministry with the youth and with the adult team with a joyful heart. Her dedication to the young people of the parish goes beyond that of teacher, mentor, and friend. She is a grandmother figure to many of her students, and is able to connect and communicate frankly and warmly with youth who may be difficult for other adults to reach. By her witness and service in ministry, Mary has been a role model and mentor in faith to us in Confirmation at Our Lady of Guadalupe, adults and youth alike. Congratulations to Mary on this honor!
