Our Fiesta is almost here. It is a lot of work but it is also a great gathering of OLG. There is still time to buy your presale tickets for food, rides and games. Remember you save money by buying presale tickets and we make a greater percent on the ride tickets. Have you bought a $50.00 Raffle ticket? Can you buy two or more or sell one? A successful Raffle leads to a successful Fiesta. Buy your presale and raffle tickets online.
I want to share some good news with you. I want you to know in advance how your Fiesta money will be used. Our School Building is heavily used by both our School and by parish activities. Our OLG School building needs attention. Like the Church, it is now over 50 years old and it needs some upgrades. I’m in the process of scheduling the following upgrades and if money allows, we will do more. Here is what we are planning:
- Additional fencing around the School to help create a Closed Campus.
- New ceilings in the classrooms (our ceiling tiles are falling)
- New energy efficient lighting fixtures and lighting system – LED lighting.
- Desks for at least one classroom.
We need a successful Fiesta to do this. We can do it! The Goal for our Fiesta is $80,000. We will need that much to do these improvements. Is it possible? I remember 4 years ago. The net of our Fiesta was in the $70,000’s. We can do it!! How can you help? Please invite others to come. Also we need a lot of volunteers to help make this a successful Fiesta. We also need Silent Auction items – please try to locate and donate a gift for our Silent Auction. Buy and sell some of our Fiesta Raffle Tickets. Buy your tickets presale – after Mass or on line at home.
