First Sunday of Advent: We live in Hope as Christians – Hope for ourselves, our family, our neighbor, our community, our Church, our country and our world. The Season of Advent calls us to renew our Hope. But not just a secular Hope but rather a Hope in He who has conquered sin and death that He might truly touch our lives and see us through as we journey through life. The Jewish people lived in Hope for centuries as they waited for their promised Messiah. We live in Hope as we journey through parish life. We live in Hope as we live through these chaotic economic times. We live in Hope as we wait to be with our loved ones who have died.
Advent is a time to renew our Hope in Christ. It is also a time to be signs of Hope to one another. This is the time, this is the season to renew our Faith, Hope and Love and be living signs of God’s saving power. Remember – Jesus is the reason for this Season!!
During Advent, we have much to celebrate. Please mark your calendars:
