Some thoughts from Fr. Ray

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension. Like Easter, this day should rekindle in your heart the Hope that is within you. Christ, not only rose from the dead, but has ascended to Heaven. Where He has gone, we Hope one day to follow. May our Hope in eternal life, guide our path on earth. May it be strength to us as we experience both the good and challenging days of our life.

On Sunday, June 3, 9:45 Mass, Bishop Solis will be with us to thank Mrs. Hunt for her 21 years of ministry and service to our Parish as Principal of our OLG School. Mrs. Hunt in her role as Principal has touched countless families and children in the many ways that she has served in this position while being a mother and a wife to her husband and family. After speaking with Mrs. Hunt, I would like to invite you, to join her, as we begin a Scholarship Fund in her name for our School. This Scholarship Fund will be a means of continuing her care for our School. In giving to this Fund, please make your checks out to Our Lady of Guadalupe but please indicate that it is for the Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Hunt will be given a list of names of all those who have contributed to this Scholarship Fund.

Update on the Building Fund. We now have 76% of the Building Fund donated — or we have collected $189,502.47. In other words we have 24% to go or $60,497.53. Thank You so much! We have come a long way because of your generosity, in the midst of the recession. Thank You!!

Update on Together in Mission. If you have not yet given, we still could use your help. But I want you to know, that with your continued new gifts and payment of pledges, we will meet our goal of $49,272.52. Thank You!!
