A Few Words from Fr. Ray

On Tuesday I celebrate 36 years as a priest. I’ve been with you for my last six years with Fr. Lazaro as my associate. These have been good years – thank you!! I need to attend a meeting in Chicago and will be traveling back to Hermosa Beach that day. I’ll be thinking and praying for you in thanksgiving for the gift you are to me. In about a month, we will have our Fiesta. There are many ways to you can help to make Fiesta 2012 a success. Buying a raffle ticket, donating to the Silent Auction, volunteering to help and donating needed items are just some of the ways to make this a success. Please take a look at the bulletin and our website for more information. Joe Magyar is leading us this year and has already put many, many hours into the Fiesta. Please give him a hand as well as the many other committee chairs who are doing so much. Thanks!!

Our 3rd Annual Kelly Hales Memorial Golf Tournament is Friday. It also looks like it will be a fun and successful event. It is a another good way for families of our parish to get together, have fun and do good at the same time. I’ll be there at the closing. I hope you are having a good Lent. Remember prayer, fasting and alms giving: the three pillars of this Season. Plan to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation next week. Our parish Reconciliation Service is on Wednesday, the 28th, at 7:30PM.

Thank you for your continued support of our Parish. Our Together in Mission is still be tabulated but I am confident that as you continue to make your pledges and pay them down, we will meet our goal as a parish. Thank you for your continued support of our Building Fund!
